How often does everyone check the WTCA web site? I try checking it at least three time a week.

We check it at least 3 times a week, but we are notified of most postings.

Depends for me, few times a week to several times a day. It all depends on what I am doing.

It all depends on what I have going on. I try to check it every couple of days.

Ditto, I try at least once a week - I drift between thinking we need to close it and keeping it open, because there's always hope that the activity will pick up and it is nice to have somewhere to post "West Texas" ... even though we have a regional spot on Texas Geocaching.

We think it is a great forum for the area. There is TXGA, NTXGA, so there should be a WTXGA! I believe that if we promoted this site on our caches more (like people do the TXGA) then more people would use it. We try to add it to each log we sign and have incorporated it on our geocaching business card. Its all about getting the word out.

Good idea the3defaus. I rarely check the TXGA boards, they tend to piss me off. Same goes for Geocaching.com and the new Terracaching.com site. Seems people want to pregnant dog and rag on new people, its just not my thing. I do check visit other boards, that deal in off roading.

Thought since I started this thread I would at least acknowledge that I am reading it. I tend to stop by and read and not say anything.

There used to be quite a lot of activity. I'd check it every day if I still lived there, and still do occasionally cuz I like to keep up with what Char and Jim are doing (although Jim doesn't seem to be around much anymore)...

I really like having a forum that has a area for my area without having to sort through alot of post that are not for my area.

No kidding. On the larger sites there seems to be a lot of whining and/or personal competitive BS. This one, not so much.
That is a good thing!

I like to keep up with what Char and Jim are doing (although Jim doesn't seem to be around much anymore)... I'm still here! I'm plotting some new and devious things for spring. And, I'm getting ready for a Celtic Festival in Midland in February. Cheers!

Jim! My Man ;D Yeps, ditto on complaining on the TX site ... Terra is the same ... GC is the same ... I also try to avoid those with a passion -- I do visit on occasion to check in on the West Texas region ... but I like out nice and peaceful little piece of Texas/NM!

And, I'm getting ready for a Celtic Festival in Midland in February. Oh, yes, the Celtic Festival. Wow, is it that time already? I remember last year we were trying to be able to go to that.
