I gotta admit that I'm enjoying these "first in a long while" events. Last week Rusty breaks his streak and this week the Wood Bros. get their first pole in 20 yrs. Now if I can just predict the next one. Let's see... Kenny Wallace has never won a Cup race and he's racing a Michael Waltrip/DEI car. Whataya think?

Well, that's why I was so jazzed Ricky got the pole - I didn't figure he was gonna win. But I didn't figure Jeff to win, either.

Go for it. I was gonna choose Kenny, but I forgot. Oops. Lucky for you. I'm gonna keep my predictions to myself from now on. This one took out two of my drivers in the same wreck. I won't even mention the finish under yellow "for safety reasons." If they're so worried about safety that they can't even restart the race, then why not run the whole thing under caution. Better yet, just run the race like qualifying or World Rally--one car at a time. But I'm not even going to mention it. It's not that Gordon didn't deserve it; he just deserved to win in under green. Five laps to go and you can't sort out the field fast enough for a green-white-checker finish. Have I mentioned that Brian France gets my vote for worst rookie of the year? But I'm not even going to mention the finish.

Ok couple questions. What is the draw to this sport? Do you watch it on TV? I lived in GA for 4 years and those country boys were fanitics about it, but I just can't seem to see the draw. Could yall explain it to me.

Could y'all explain it to me. Woof. Well, I didn't start watching until 2001, when it first went on broadcast (we never had cable or a dish until 2002). I just started taping the races for my hubby, at his request, and the more I taped, the more I actually started watching. Then I was hooked. I dunno....I always like driving and used to have a job at Malibu Grand Prix, so maybe it's in my blood. Kinda. It has nothing to do with where you live, btw.
