I know not all of you are interested in racing, but I don't wanna get yelled at for posting too much about it at the 'other' forum. So we can post all we want here. ;D

Posted on the other forum and then came over and found you had started this one up . I was wondering how long the other one would last before it got black flagged.

And since Plaiddie is big haunchie person in this forum ... post away for Nascar -- which I'm not the craziest for, but I have seen a race or two in my life! Usually all the key ones, where people get killed, so I've stopped mostly watching.....as a matter of fact the last one was where Dale Sr. became no longer with us.

.....as a matter of fact the last one was where Dale Sr. became no longer with us. Sore subject Wish I hadn't seen that one live. They have made lots of safety improvements, but there's always still a chance.... I guess that's why they don't call it "golf."

NOOOO -thank God no. I was watching the live broadcast. Man, I can't imagine how screwed up I'd have been if I saw it live in person.

Yeppers, same here on TV "live" ... my best friend was a huge Dale Sr. fan .. live, eat, drink sort of fan -- and my husband and I had to leave to go to the house, so when I got home I clicked it back on .... just in time for the ... well, YUCK. I called my buddy and told him how sorry I was and he said for what .... after we left they'd stopped watching cause Dale Sr. wasn't going to win and they needed to do some other stuff .... so great, I not only got to see the crash, I got to tell my best buddy who absolutely LOVED THE MAN, that he just probably died in a crash -- bummer! Hummm, no wonder I don't watch it anymore --- like you said Sue, how screwed up would I be otherwise?
.......okay, now on the light side -- don't answer that question! Some folks think I'm screwed up anyway!
;D

That was the first race I ever saw, actually. So I never really got to see Dale race.
(We didn't have a dish or cable back then, so never saw racing until it was on broadcast stuff.)

Yeah, guess we should have checked the other handles before we picked ours out. There is a "Sue," but not the same one from Amarillo.
I'd watched racing when I could get it (my mom blames it on the fact that NASCAR was playing on the hospital TV while she was in labor with me), but I never had cable until I went to college. I still watched all the broadcast races on (then) ABC, but I never really followed it. Didn't have to because I KNEW who I was pulling for. After that race, I suddenly had to learn the names of some other drivers. I guess those were simpler times (begin banjo music), when the 3 was good and the 24 was bad. Well, I guess some things never change.

I like knowing who the drivers are. ;D There are a handful I enjoy seeing win a race (as long as Ricky doesn't do too badly)(last year he almost always did badly ), and more that I enjoy seeing get spun out with a couple laps to go. And things do change, a little. Now Kurt Busch has joined Jeff at the bottom. Even Jeff never got booed so loudly. So......who's gonna be ROTY this year?? Vickers, I s'pose....although whatshisname.....MacGaghan...McGaghun......whatever.....sure is testing fast. Hard enough trying to remember who's switched to which number!

OH MAN! You're not the Sue from Amarillo -- okay, well now I do need to find a closet to hide it! I was wondering why the change from the other name! Mes a little slow!

OH MAN! You're not the Sue from Amarillo ... Ohh...you thought it was Suerreal? I didn't even think of that. I guess cuz they've(you've) been finding our caches - I knew they(you) were someone local.

Let's hope Sue didn't have a significant other out there wondering who this Bob was . So......who's gonna be ROTY this year?? Vickers is pretty mature for a 20 year old, and if he can stay that way he's got a good chance. I think any of the new guys from the Busch Series could take it. They had a pretty tight race last season. Gaughn can drive the trucks pretty well, but I think the Busch guys have the advantage. They've got more seat time in similar-handling cars. Also, I think Busch goes to more Winston (I mean Nextel) Cup tracks than the trucks. My vote for worst rookie of the year--Brian France .
