Not sure how active this board is, so if there are better places to post this information, please let me know.
The Central Texas geocachers would like to invite you to the 2009 Texas Challenge to be held the weekend of March 13th - 15th, 2009.
The home base for the weekend's activities will be the lovely Lady
Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg:
www.fbgtx.org/departments/ladybirdpark.htm
They're being very flexible on accommodations and will work with us to
get as many people on-site as possible. One area where things may be
a little tight is for RV campers. They do have an RV park, but have
lots of "Winter Texans" who may be taking up the spots. If you're
interested in an RV spot, you should make your reservation as soon as
possible.
The park staff told us that if an RV is completely self-contained and
you don't mind parking on the park road, you can camp there instead of
an official spot. (keep that in mind if you go to book and the park
is full)
For tent campers, they have a series of campsites, but will let us
camp in a couple of open fields, so we should be able to get a spot
for everyone.
There aren't any screened shelters at the park, so if the tent or RV
is too rough for you, there are numerous hotels and bed and breakfast
spots in Fredericksburg. There's also a KOA location if you want to get a more sheltered option.

RV Park
Rates:
Daily $20.00
Two-Week $160.00
Monthly $250.00
Monthly Rate and Two-Week Rate available only
September 1 - March 31 only
Tent campers can stay for only $9.00 per night.
The park is located at 432 Lady Bird Drive, just 3 miles South of
downtown, taking State Hwy 16 South. The park is located inside Lady
Bird Johnson Municipal Park.
There are no online reservations. For reservations, please call (830)
997-4202.
Be sure to let them know you're coming for the geocaching event. It
won't get you a discount, but knowing we're all together will help.
More details will be posted after our planning events.
Hope to see you all there!!!
