Hello...just joined the forums and was wondering if there is a way to get notifications via email when a post is replied to or you just need to check back here. Some forums have that ability. I clicked on the "help" icon but there was nothing there. Thanks.
P.S. Is it always this "dead" here?

Ah ha, I found it! First you bookmark a a topic, then you can choose to be notified by email when new posts come up on bookmarked topics.
The bookmark option is on the green bar, upper left. After you click on 'bookmark', then you go to your profile, click on 'bookmarks', then on 'manage bookmarks'. And there you go.

My pleasure.
As to your other question, you could help make it less "dead". It used to be quite lively a couple of years ago.

I'd enjoy talking to other cachers in the area. I'm fairly inexperianced and would likely believe anything anyone had to say. ;D A few have communicated with me from the geocache pages and offered helpful suggestions. Made a REAL bad impression when I hide my first cache and transposed coords. Had it right in my GPS but sure screwed up. Did a LOT of apologizing. I hope I can meet up with some cachers from the San Angelo area and will wait and see if anyone shows back up. I think they had a gathering at the State Park recently but missed it. Seems like a lot forums have a big run and then die out. I've seen a lot of politics and other BS get in the way. I haven't looked through enough here to see if that's the case. Thanks for the response.
