Well I put my first cache out this morning, and in hiding it I tried to be as straight forward as possible, but I was muggled. Apparently one of the radio stations is running a give-a-way and there were muggles there who saw what I was doing and lifted the whole canister. Geez there are some stupid people on this earth. So now to get another container, new sticker for outside, and contents. What a pain. So off to get bits to make another one. May have to go hide it at night.

LOL that is too funny. I haven't had that happen yet, but I do know about the radio station.

I put a new container out, just a micor. and covered tracks on ground where someone was digging in the rocks looking for the KIXY $1000. Dummies. They have spots all along the walls where they are digging into the cracks to see if the money is there. Completed SASP today, and glad that is over. Now to cacti at Twin Buttes and Nasworthy. Methinks someone is doing this deliberately. The micro was put out at 1900 and gone at 0800. The rocks I had put in front had been tossed to side. So I guess Muggles 2: ZAM 0 I live just off a park here and I think a walk with the dog is in order, along with gps. There are some places that would make great spots to hide. But out in the open, a little bit. And I think I will paste the two rocks together from the first hide, go see if I can find a large hairy black spider, and tie it to the back so when they pull the rock out, the spider comes out too. And replace it at 0dark thirty when I go to work in the morning. Maybe it will cure them of muggellizing a cache. {Is that with one L or two?} But this is a game, and I realize like any there will be spoil sports. Cheers ya'll Bill SJT

I'm so sorry that you are having trouble with muggles - it stinks, I know - having had some of mine muggled on purpose here in Midland by someone in NM! Just hang in there, eventually they get tired of it -- I must say, after a third caching trip to SA this weeken to show KTClimbs around ... I really enjoy the caches you all put out ... in spite of all the "defensive" plants you have .. lilbueyez's description! Hey BigJon ... how's it going?

I really need to get some cache maintnance done, I have had several reports of wet log books, I have no free time. Hopefully tomorrow and Tuesday I can get some knocked out.

OMG we are getting a lot of calls on this radio stations contest. They give clues and the people come out. We have gone to so many calls on them, I am thinking of writing a letter to KIXY. Or as one officer suggested, we charge KIXY for all the calls we get on them. We charge people or businesses that have alarm systems, and that get some many false calls a year, so I think it would be a good idea. I think geocaching in San Angelo right now is pretty hard for this reason.

Well the KIXY muggles are still out. I lost two caches in parks this weekend. One at the Fort, where they removed the official sticker, the log and left the film can in the hole. And the one in Park's Dept park was gone, except for one toy. So both have been replaced. What a crock. I sent an email to the program director at KIXY telling him what his contest was doing to the gardens, bushes, trees, and caches. Seems these characters are ripping signs down, covers over lights, digging up the school and parks grounds and stadium. Probably more caches gone that were not out in the cactus. Must be why AbsCacher puts his so far out in the field/cactus. Cheers Bill/WB5ZAM

I have been out looking for the money in San Angelo. But it is supposed to be in a place where you don't have to dig or pull down signs. It supposed to be out in the open, but some people are too dumb to listen to the rules.

Yeah I stopped some subjects last night that were out looking for the money. It was pretty funny, and they were on private property, so they got a lecture. From what I understand its not on private property.

Went to new one of Counterstrike in parking lot of Coliseum and it had been muggled, less than two hours after being approved. He said he talked to a guy who had one of the missing (one of mine) caches and wondered what to do with it. Was told "put it back". I archived one medium sized one that was in a park, and will go down and see if other two in non-cacti are there and remove them until the game is over. It's up to $3000 so the muggles are trying everyone's patience. May have to pull all of them in until this madness is over. I know there are quite a few on my unit that are out after every clue comes out. Something for nothing. Talked to KIXY COO and he said he had a woman in the office with the geocache stuff, pissed because it wasn't the money. "Well now what do I do?" He told her to get a gps and play our game but that was not the radio stations game piece. They neiter can read, nor listen when told not on private property, not high and not in boats, or under sign awnings. But in plain view. Muggles Have to work for next 4 so hope to get out to new ones at SASP that CounterStrike put out today. He said to take your binoculars and watch the deer. Cheers

;D Finally someone found the KIXY cache. So now maybe we can get the geocaches back out. Better give a day or two as there are muggles who don't listen. Lost 3 due to the contest. Just hope they don't do it again for awile. May have to rethink where some of the hides are, to make them less obvious and still at the same coordinates. Cheers Bill WB5ZAM SJT

AARRGG Went out to do a photo shoot, and also to look for some of the ones at the South Pool that I haven't gotten to, and stopped by my Ham Enclave and it was gone. Number four lost to the muggles of KIXY! Have to find another site or another bottle just the size of the first. Wonder if I can ask KIXY to supply new cache items, patches, stickers and containers. Gad and their money cache was in a pen! And the muggles took bottles of all sizes and never put them back. I guess I'll drop a note to the COO of KIXY and see if he has trinkets he'd like to donate to replace all the ones taken. There were Sackajawesta dollars in a couple of them. Dumb contests that are so vague that people tear up and steal stuff should be banned. Let's start a petition! ;-) Bill WB5ZAM SJT
