Hi to FWTXGeo(!) from Moosiegirl in Austin! I thought I would drop in and let you know we are having our second annual GEEKFEST in Austin on July 23rd (that's a Saturday). It will include both OUTDOOR sessions on using your GPSr, and INDOOR sessions on Geocaching Swiss Army Knife, from very basic things like how to load your pocket queries into a database, all the way to advanced filtering along a route (like for a trip) or in a polygon. Read more at GCP7K6 (last check it was not yet active, but it shouldn't take long), and PLEASE INDICATE if you plan to attend. This would be a GREAT reason to make a weekend trip to Austin for some really fine caching and to brush up on your GPS and computer geo-skills. We hope you can make it!
Next, we'd like you to start NOW to think about attending the Texas Challenge in March of 2006. The date and location are not yet set, but we want you to be thinking and watching and PLANNING. We've had a GREAT time at the first three, and we'd like to see a NEW TEAM from WEST TEXAS to come give the teams from North, SouthEast, and Central Texas a run for their money!!
Happy Trails! Candy

Wish I could attend Geekfest...I still need more help - I at least know the basis of Swiss Army, but I know I'm still not using it to the full capability......as far as team from West Texas - I've tried to raise one and no go ... so, anyway - some else might have better chance - thanks for the post!
