I haven't been able to connect since about 4 PM MST. That's the first time I tried, so I don't know if the problem existed earlier. It was up last night & I've received a couple of cache loggings via email this evening. They seem to have this problem on a fairly regular basis - not sure what causes it.

Well now, according to the mother site there are only 80 caches within the 40 miles of Abilene. Last count here were 140 within 20 miles of San Angelo. You guys need to get out and place more up there. Of course we have a cache machine in Counterstrike. He is shooting at placing 100 locally. Me I'm just shooting at 50 (6 to go) or so. Lots to see and find in the Concho Valley. And we are in talks with the local equestrians to put out caches for a field day for them, at the SASP. Lots of trails and places where you can ride up and grab a cache, or stop, get off and retrieve. And maybe a get together for the Big Country/Concho Valley cachers also in the plans. Cheers ya'll. Cache on! Bill WB5ZAM San Angelo

Believe it or not, it is not that easy. For example, we try to populate the area north of 1-20 as much as possible. The problem comes with big plots of privately owned land. Which limits our options. We are working to populate the area as much as possible, but it will take time. So far, since we bagan only a couple of months ago, we've hidden 17-18... which we believe is a good start. We are taking a trip down to San Antonio soon and we are interested in seeing theor caches down there. Maybe that will spark up some new ideas along with our meeting on the 22nd of January. And thank you again Ammoman for your compliments!!

LOL!!! ;D
I read your comment on the Lone Bush in Hodges cache, the name fits huh? We were just driving around looking for a place in Hodges to hide a cache but couldn't really find anywhere, so there it went. Needless to say, we had a chuckle while hiding it. I wanted to name it Hodges' Little Bush, but that might offend my sister's family! HAHA!

;D You go guys ... yeps large plots of private land and not really much park places ... definitely not any with any neat trails and the such ... like SA! But we in Midland/Odessa do our best! Geez, I'd love to place 100 ... BUT that will take some doing, keep it active guys!

We are starting to put out caches now, since we have seen a good amount of styles and types of places. We hid our first one near our home so we can watch people find it.....hehehe ;D But we plan on doing things south of Abilene since that is where we live. The north is taken care of by the Defaus, (thanks). So make sure your gas tank is full and get ready for some out in the boonies hunting!

Hey if you need some new ideas head to Austin. I just got back from caching with my parents up there nad they add a whole new meaning to caches. They are very creative up there and you have to look hard to find some of them. I've got some ideas to hide in San Angelo if I can find some untapped resources that haven't been taken up by Bill and Counterstrike.
