A lot of you know about this already. For those that do not, I have put together a list of geocaches in state parks at mail.augustmail.com/~ctthomas/stateparks/state_park_list.htmUnfortunately, since everything is done by hand, I often miss caches that need to be added or miss caches that need to be marked as archived. I would very much appreciate hearing from you if you notice problems. Please also note the State Parks GeoChallenge. Plaidbeard's Crew was the first to complete the Challenge for the Panhandle. No one has yet completed the challenge for West Texas (although we only need the caches in San Angelo State Park to finish West Texas) or for the Trans Pecos. I will also soon be adding a mini-GeoChallenge, if I can find the time to work on it. Anyway, we love to cache in State Parks. Some of our very best caching experiences have been in Texas State Parks in West Texas. I hope this will encourage more caching (and more caches!!) in Texas State Parks.

Thanks for the compilation -- I need to work on this more myself ... I need Llano, Ft. McCavett and well a couple of more (plus the 2 new ones in SA) ... maybe one day!

Plaidbeard's Crew was the first to complete the Challenge for the Panhandle. Inadvertently. We hadn't even known there was a challenge at the time. Also, since then, there have been new caches planted that we haven't found (and more by us!). I noticed you also have a 'Top Cachers in TX' page. What struck me about that page is.....most of those cachers have planted maybe a dozen each......? (Except, naturally, 9key The Legend.) Hmm. Any plans for top TX planters page?

Hmm. Any plans for top TX planters page? That was just something I threw together for my own purposes in a few minutes to see the current find leaders, since Keenpeople was grossly out of date. I don't intend to keep it up or maintain it. You are right that there are many other stats that can be monitored besides finds. It just happened to be what I was looking at at that moment in time.

We did the ones at Llano and Ft. McCavett over spring break and enjoyed them a lot. We also really enjoyed the caches further south near Del Rio, including the one in Seminole Canyon State Park. Our only regret was that we could not stay for a tour to see the pictographs there, so I guess we will have to make a return trip some day.

I've been wanting to get down to the pictographs down near Snyder, but I keep loosing the info on exactly where they are. Sandy Lakes? Sandy Shores? There's some park down there that contains them....argh. Sandstone Canyon! Found it! Scurry County.
