What kinds of software do you use for geocaching and whats it for? GPX Spinner for spinning querys down. Its free. www.gpxspinner.com/EasyMPS for converting .loc files to Mapsource files. Free too. www.iancowley.co.uk/caching/GarTrax for converting .gpx files to Mapsource files. Free too. Used mainly for getting my Pocket Querys to my 60CS via a USB cable. www.p-terminator.nl/geocaching/download.phpFinaly ExpertGPS, more options for me. EasyGPS works. This one cost, but in my opinion is well worth it for the maps. www.expertgps.comThose are the 3 I mainly use along with Mapsource. I know there are several different programs out there so what in your PC, or Mac. ;D

I haven't had time to play with it much but this software has a lot of potential. Looks to me like a combo of Ozi, ExpertGPS, and some others thrown in. I will get back with info once I play with it. gsak.net/

OMG. Come on you really need to get with it. Once you use this software, you will never go back. I bet you will also wonder how, or for that matter, why you never used it before now.

I use stealth and the programs to get the hint/fact pages to something other than paper. I use a pda, and first get the cache page ready to print (5 logs and hints decrypted), then click on edit, select all, and then copy/paste to a blank email. I get rid of photos/pictures, delete extra lines to get it smaller. Then send to pda. Open mail on pda, save as note, with heading of "gps-...." Now I have a list of gps.... like gpsBurketts trail, etc.. I also bought the GPXView, and send from geocaching to pda, and open and save. Lot of work, paper might be easier, but in the field, I have pda to look at all the info, while paper invariably gets left in car. The GpxView is nice, but I haven't got all the how to's worked out. Need to be able to order the sites by name not the GCEB... etc coding/benchmarks. But I will bet that the program does that. Just need to figure out how to make it sort my way. Hope this helps. And I hope to have a cache out this next week, named "X" marks the spot (refers to what area looks like from teraserver site). Cheers Bill SJT

Well to update. I took the PDA, moved the screen over and found a coulmn in gpxview that shows how far the cache is from the home coordiantes, worked with it, and now all sites show in approximate distance from home. And my teraserver map wasn't nayhelp, as the roads I was looking for were now gone. Oh well. But have cache site in view. Will enter data tonight and hopefully get it hidden tomorrow. First hide so may be a bit rough. Cheers Bill in SJT WB5ZAM

I now use GSAK ... thanks for the wonderful training I received in Abilene a week ago ... in the process of getting another Pocket PC, after my PDA went belly up -- so I am going to be absolutely paperless --- think of all those saved trees! WOW, and the ease of use from geocaching.com --- to --- computer --- to GPS ... geez! I never could get Easy GPS to work for me, just stooopid sometimes, I'm sure!
